📋 Overview

AJora ("we", "our", or "the app") is developed by AJ-Production and is available on the Google Play Store. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and handle your information when you use the AJora application.

📖 Al-Quran Digital Feature

AJora includes a Digital Al-Quran feature. The following data is stored locally on your device only:

• Last reading position (surah and ayah number)
• Bookmarked verses
• Selected reciter (Qari) preference
• Language preference for translation (Indonesian / English)

Quran text, translations, and audio recitation are fetched from Quran.com API (api.quran.com) and verses.quran.com. These requests are made over the internet and are subject to Quran.com's own privacy policy. No personal user data is sent to Quran.com.

📚 Hadith Digital Feature

AJora includes a Digital Hadith feature with 9 major hadith collections. The following data is stored locally on your device only:

• Last reading position per book (kitab and hadith number)
• Bookmarked hadiths
• Language preference for translation (Indonesian / English)

Hadith text and Indonesian translations are fetched from api.hadith.gading.dev. English translations are fetched from hadithapi.com. No personal user data is sent to these services.

🤲 Daily Dua, Manasik & Tahlil Features

AJora includes Islamic reference content such as Daily Prayers (Doa Harian), Hajj & Umrah Guidance (Manasik), and Tahlil collections. This content is fetched from our backend services hosted on Supabase and Vercel.

• Content is fetched over the internet from our Supabase database and Vercel API endpoints.
• No personal user data is sent to Supabase or Vercel when fetching this content.
• Reading progress and bookmarks for these features are stored locally on your device only.

📦 Data We Collect

AJora collects and stores the following data locally on your device only:

• Display name and profile photo (optional, user-provided)
• Last Quran reading position, bookmarks, and selected reciter preference
• Last Hadith reading position and bookmarks per book
• Bookmarks and reading progress for Daily Dua, Manasik, and Tahlil
• App preferences (theme, language, selected reciter)

We do not collect, transmit, or store any of the above data on our own servers.

📢 Advertising — Google AdMob

AJora displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob, a third-party advertising service operated by Google LLC. AdMob may collect and use certain data from your device in order to serve personalized or non-personalized ads.

This data may include, but is not limited to:

• Advertising ID (Google Advertising Identifier / GAID)
• Device information (model, OS version, screen size)
• IP address and approximate location
• App usage and interaction data
• Cookies and similar tracking technologies

AJora is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us immediately so we can take appropriate action.

🛡️ Data Security

All user preferences and personal data in AJora are stored locally on your device using Android's secure storage (SharedPreferences). We do not operate any backend servers that store your personal data. Data transmitted to third-party services — such as Groq for AI, Supabase and Vercel for Islamic content, and Google AdMob for advertising — is governed by their respective privacy policies.
