📋 Overview

AJora ("we", "our", or "the app") is developed by AJ-Production and is available on the Google Play Store. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and handle your information when you use the AJora application.

📖 Al-Quran Digital Feature

AJora includes a Digital Al-Quran feature. The following data is stored locally on your device only:

• Last reading position (surah and ayah number)
• Bookmarked verses
• Selected reciter (Qari) preference
• Language preference for translation (Indonesian / English)

Quran text, translations, and audio recitation are fetched from Quran.com API (api.quran.com) and verses.quran.com. These requests are made over the internet and are subject to Quran.com's own privacy policy. No personal user data is sent to Quran.com.

📚 Hadith Digital Feature

AJora includes a Digital Hadith feature with 9 major hadith collections. The following data is stored locally on your device only:

• Last reading position per book (kitab and hadith number)
• Bookmarked hadiths
• Language preference for translation (Indonesian / English)

Hadith text and Indonesian translations are fetched from api.hadith.gading.dev. English translations are fetched from hadithapi.com. No personal user data is sent to these services.

🤲 Daily Dua, Manasik & Tahlil Features

AJora includes Islamic reference content such as Daily Prayers (Doa Harian), Hajj & Umrah Guidance (Manasik), and Tahlil collections. This content is fetched from our backend services hosted on Supabase and Vercel.

• Content is fetched over the internet from our Supabase database and Vercel API endpoints.
• No personal user data is sent to Supabase or Vercel when fetching this content.
• Reading progress and bookmarks for these features are stored locally on your device only.

🎙️ Voice Translator Feature

AJora includes a Voice Translator feature that converts speech into text, translates it, and reads the translation aloud.

• When you speak, your voice recording is sent to Groq Cloud for transcription.
• The transcribed text is sent to Groq Cloud for translation.
• The translated text is converted to speech using Groq Cloud and/or Google Cloud Text-to-Speech, depending on the selected language.
• Conversation history is stored locally on your device only and is not saved on our servers.

💵 Kas Kita (Our Fund) Feature

AJora includes Kas Kita (Our Fund), a shared fund tracker for community groups such as class funds, community groups, or rotating savings (arisan). The following data is stored locally on your device only:

• Activity names, icons, colors, currency, and dues start date that you create
• Member names and optional phone numbers that you add
• Dues, donation, and expense records you enter, including amounts and categories
• Monthly and annual report history generated from the above data

Reports can be exported as PDF files and data can be exported/imported as JSON backup files — these files are created and saved on your device, and only leave your device if you choose to share or send them yourself (for example via WhatsApp, email, or cloud storage).

This feature also lets you send a payment summary message to a member via WhatsApp. Tapping this button opens the WhatsApp app with a pre-filled message — AJora does not send this message automatically, and the message content is only transmitted if you choose to press send inside WhatsApp.

📦 Data We Collect

AJora collects and stores the following data locally on your device only:

• Display name and profile photo (optional, user-provided)
• Last Quran reading position, bookmarks, and selected reciter preference
• Last Hadith reading position and bookmarks per book
• Bookmarks and reading progress for Daily Dua, Manasik, and Tahlil
• Kas Kita (Our Fund) records: activities, members, dues, and expenses
• App preferences (theme, language, selected reciter)

We do not collect, transmit, or store any of the above data on our own servers.

📢 Advertising

AJora may display advertisements provided by third-party advertising networks. These networks may collect and use certain data from your device in order to serve personalized or non-personalized ads.

This data may include, but is not limited to:

• Advertising identifiers
• Device information (model, OS version, screen size)
• IP address and approximate location
• App usage and interaction data
• Cookies and similar tracking technologies

AJora is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us immediately so we can take appropriate action.

🛡️ Data Security

All user preferences and personal data in AJora are stored locally on your device using Android's secure storage (SharedPreferences). We do not operate any backend servers that store your personal data. Data transmitted to third-party services — such as Groq for AI and voice features, Supabase and Vercel for Islamic content, and our advertising partner(s) — is governed by their respective privacy policies.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our app or applicable regulations. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised date at the top. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
